Does it matter if, in coordination with the Active Directory team, we prepare the schema and Active Directory for Exchange before installing the Exchange pre-requisites?

I realize that we will have to install at least .NET framework and RSAT-ADDS for this to work.
But otherwise, if the AD team can complete this even before we install the pre-requisites (other than .NET framework and RSAT-ADDS, which we need), what difference does it make?
I see none, but want to double-check with others here.
