Hi guys,
Scenario:
I have Exchange server 2013 set-up and I migrated all my mail-boxes from Exchange 2007 which was running on an SBS. I haven't migrated any public folders as there were none using those during the time of migration. Recently, one of my new users need to have a public folder and when I try to create it, I mean, the public folder mailbox, it gives me the following error:
================
An existing Public Folder deployment has been detected. To migrate existing Public Folder data, create new Public Folder mailbox using -HoldForMigration switch.
================
So, here, I think, even if I create a public folder mailbox using "HoldForMigration" switch, I guess I couldn't use it because it would be locked till we migrate the old public folders, right. Now, the old server is down an in-accessible and I don't find any other way to create a new public folder mailbox. I don't want any old data. All I want is a new set-up.
Could anyone help me to get-rid of this error and set-up a new public folder mailbox?
Regards,
Nash Burns
