I have not been able to find a solution to this issue anywhere and its driving everyone crazy! I posted this question in an SSRS community site, but I'm leaning more towards being something in Outlook that's giving me gas...
I have several subscriptions to email embedded (MHTML) report to a set of users. The reports are fairly long , with several charts, tables, and matrices. What I don't understand is why when the message gets to your inbox the email is 450 KB, it takes just a few seconds to open it - everything works good and fast. But as soon as someone forwards or replies to the original email, it grows to 3 or 4 MBs, taking forever to open, if at all. I've confirmed Outlook is not loading a 'preview' of the original report, in the reading pane. It loads all the images, tables, down to the last row. The issue happens when someone forwards, or replies to the original email.
Please help!
