Server 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010
All seems to go fine with the Exchange server but when I go into look at my public folders (either via Outlook on a client or OWA) It says there are issues and could not display. Here's the odd part... there are several folders under the Public Folders and I can see all of them. It's only when I get to the content that nothing can be displayed. I have mounted/dismounted/mounted but no luck with content. I have created a new folder in the Public folder and added an item and it works great. It's just the content of these older folders (contacts and calendar info mostly).
I have tried look at some 3rd party recovery tools (look at .edb file) and they see the same thing... folders all list but no content in the folder is displayed. I went to 2 previous backups and get the same thing. Instinct tells me corruption in the .edb but all was working fine and I can't believe that older backups show me the same thing. Since I am just rebuilding a new server on another box, I can easily recreate a public store and folders but there is alot of content (calendar & contacts) from these public folders that I am trying to get to and I cannot easily re-create.
Any words of advice on how I can get to this data?
