Exchange 2013 cu4
i have a two-member DAG, two CAS servers. one of the CAS servers is unstable and needs to be replaced. i have a new server already prepped with the prerequisites for Exchange 2013.
question is, how do i proceed introducing the new soon-to-be CAS server and replace the old one?
do i just go ahead and install the CAS role on the new server and then hopefully the existing Exchange environement will pick it up? and then once it shows in the ECP, delete the old CAS server from ECP?
or should i shutdown the old CAS server, install CAS role on new server, and remove all presence of old CAS server from AD using ADSI?
