Sorry for posting a 2010 question in the 2013 forum, but there are no options for 2010. Hopefully someone can still help.
I have a 2010 Exchange server that is NOT and open relay. My issue is that if a user (Windows 7) creates a Windows Task Scheduler task that uses the "send an email" action and puts our SMTP server in the box the task works
and the email goes through. I would expect this to not be allowed. I checked the relay setting in the hub transport and there are no IP addresses in there that would allow a desktop to relay off the server. Why are these emails allowed and
how can I stop them?
Thanks.
