Hello All,
I have several very large Exchange 2010 databases (~600GB) that need to be migrated to Exchange 2013. I have performed a migration before utilizing the standard/best practice migration method (coexistence + mailbox moves.) I was curious if there is anyway to replicate the virtual disk containing the EDB and Logs from the Exchange 2010 server, mount it to a Exchange 2013 server and then configure and mount the database on the Exchange 2013 server. I have done this going from Exchange 2010 server to another Exchange 2010 server so I know it is possible within the save version. Just as a little side information, the reason I'm looking into this rather than just utilizing the standard migration technique is due to extremely long mailbox move times (1-2 weeks.)
Best Regards,
