Hi All,
We are in the process of finishing an Exchange 2007 to 2013 migration and I ran across something that I thought I should ask about before I proceed with uninstalling the old Exchange servers.
If I do a get-mailboxdatabase | fl I can see that public folders is still pointing to an old DB on the old Exchange 2007 mailbox server. We no longer use public folders so this should not affect us going forward but I wanted to confirm that we should be safe to uninstall the old servers or do I need to do something so our new Exchange 2013 DB's no longer point to the old public folder DB.
Is it safe to uninstall Exchange 2007 servers or do I need to setup a public folder DB in Exchange 2013 and run some command to point the mailbox databases to the new PF DB? (Even though there will be nothing in the PF database.)
Is it possible to run a command to set PublicFolderDatabase to Null?
