I'm running Exchange 2013 all patched up.
I want a policy that would prevent archiving of the notes folder. I'm aware of how users can set their personal preference and never have the notes folder archived however this causes a problem. If they don't set their preference before the mailbox attendant does it's archiving they have to copy the notes from the archive back to their main mailbox. Notes are different from other items in the mailbox because they are continually being updated like a scratch pad. My users don't get it when I tell them that notes older than 2 years are archived because to them they aren't older than two years because they continually update and change notes that might be very old. I tend to agree with them. Archiving notes on the creation date doesn't makes sense, hence the need to have a policy to not archive notes.
