This question is about Exchange 2010 environment.
I was trying to remove a couple of old "accepted domains" that we no longer use.
When I go to the Hub Transport, Accepted Domains tab and try to remove the domain I get the following error:
Can't remove the domain 'domain.com' because it's referenced in an e-mail address policy by the proxy address template 'smtp:@domain.com'.
After researching the error I was directed to go to "Email Address Policies" tab and remove the domain from the policy. However, when I try to remove the domain from the policy I get the following error:
The following error occurred during validation in agent 'Rus Agent': Failed to validate the proxy address template "CCMAIL: at name". Additional information: Failed to find the address type object in Active Directory for address type "CCMAIL:AMD64"..
There are also two more errors just like the one above but referencing MS and X400.
Can someone please help me figure out how to get rid of the accepted domains I not longer need? thanks
