I am a junior IT Consultant and I am struggling with an advise for one of our customers for their Office 365 cloud strategy (mail in particular).
Two completely different organizations make use of the same On-Premises Active Directory environment divided by OU’s. An Hybrid Exchange configuration is configured for one Office 365 tenant. One organization (A) has +/- 1500 employees the other one has around 20 employees (B). All mailboxes for the larger company are moved to Exchange Online, the mailboxes for the other company (B) are On-Prem but they are also planning to make use of the Office365 cloud features.
Company’s policy states that both organizations cannot make use of a single tenant. Exchange Server can only have one single Hybrid Exchange configuration and User objects attributes must be managed for organization (A) On-Prem.
Due the lack of one configurable Hybrid connection, I would like to know your thoughts and opinions (technical and non-technical).
Regards,
Nieck
