Currently have 2010 Hybrid.
All mailboxes moved.
MX still pointing to On-Prem.
Autodiscover pointing to On-Prem.
Autodiscover pointing to On-Prem.
Exchange 2010 is only used as Mgmt Console for O365, and SMTP relay.
I wish to upgrade to 2013:
- 1. Install 2013
- 2. Change SCP to use old SCP
- 3. Change virtual directories
- 4. Change SMTP devices
- 5. Uninstall 2010
- 6. Run HCW
Questions:
- Autodiscover should remain pointing to on-premises so no issues there. I already should've repointed MX to
Office 365 as all mailboxes were moved prior to needing to upgrade the Hybrid Server but didn't have time to test.
Should I still repoint MX in advance of the 2013 upgrade, or wait until the end? - Is it right to run HCW on 2013 AFTER uninstall of 2010?
- Do I need to run HCW or can I just use 2013 EAC to manage remote domain in O365? i.e. is hybrid necessary with no more migrations needed?
