Dear
The "DB+LOG Volume Design /server" is 3 times the size of the active database, according to the Exchange 2013 storage calculator. It seems that the calculator calculates is that way because we selected to not have any dedicated
restore volume. Exchange has been backed up with a third party tool.
Why does the calculator this? Is that a bug or a structural design error in the algorithm of the calculator?
Do we need that extra space when it comes to a database failover?
Thanks for the feedback.
Regards.
