Need your help.
Our Mailbox Database size is 1.5TB, and we have 2 Databases "East-users (800 GB), and West-Users (700 GB)" and both these DBs hosted on a single mailbox role server. If we go for DAG, then on the new server we need another 1.5 TB disk storage. So to reduce the storage cost we are planning to create a new virtual machine for Mailbox Role without DAG and move one fo the Database to the new server and delete it from the old server.
Then we have East-Users (800 GB) on old VM
West-users (700 GB) on New VM.
With the above plan, we are planning to achieve that we will reduce the storage cost. Also, if one of the mailbox servers fails then only that mailbox users are affected, and other server mailbox user's mailflow works without any issues?
