Hi Everyone,

I have a massive problem:

I cannot log into our on premise exchange 2013 sp1 server administrative center, because I get an error 500 Unexpected Error :(

Therefore I cannot manage the mailboxes etc

(OWA works IE https://mail.example.com.au/owa)

The OS is windows 2012 R2

I tried IISRESET, nothing.

When I try to use the management shell I get:

----------------------------------------------------------------------

VERBOSE: Connecting to rf-ex01.example.com.au.

New-PSSession : [rf-ex01.example.com.au] Processing data from remote server rf-ex01.example.com.au failed

I also tried:

http://www.blog.edbtopst.org/ecp-and-owa-login-fails-with-error-500-in-exchange-2013.html

https://exchangequery.com/2015/05/13/exchange2013-unable-to-access-ecp-encounter-500-unexpected-error/

Also tried:

Remove-Ecpvirtualdirectory –Identity “CAS\Autodiscover (xxxxx)”

New-Ecpvirtualdirectory –Identity “CAS\Autodiscover (xxxxx)”

But I get this in response to the above:

Remove-Ecpvirtualdirectory : The term 'Remove-Ecpvirtualdirectory' is not recognized
New-Ecpvirtualdirectory : The term 'New-Ecpvirtualdirectory' is not recognized

The event viewer reports this application error:

The digital certificate is valid.

The server has been running fine for years and out of the blue today, it started to behave like the above.

Maybe a windows update caused this?

I do not know how to fix this, please help.

Thanks and regards
