Exchange 2013 Multi-Tenant - Autodiscover Redirection - Certificate Mismatch Error on Outlook 2013

Hi,

I am setting up an Exchange Server 2013 multi-tenant but having some troubles withe the certificate and / or the autodiscover redirection.

I have the following setup :

1. Certificate is issued to exchange.domain.tld / autodiscover.domain.tld / webmail.autodiscover.tld
2. Autodiscover Website has this certifcate bound to
3. I set up a Autodiscover Redirect website listening on port 80 and redirecting requests to autodiscover.domain.tld
4. The external DNS Names for autodiscover.tenanta.tld resolves to the external IP of the Exchangeserver where the autodiscover ist listening on port 443 and the redirection site on port 80
5. When I setup a Outlook Client with one of the tenant accounts it works all fine but when i start Outlook i get the certificate mismatch error - i used the same setup for an Exchange 2010 with autodiscover redirection and had no issues at all.

When i check the Outlook anywhere configuration on www.testexchangeconnectivity.com ist only shows warnings regarding the Client Updates on Certificate Root infos.

Outlook itself works fine after i confirmed the certificate mismatch error - but before housing some real tenants on this i wish to resolve this issue with letting the tenants see any kind of warnings.

Any hints on where to look for this behaviour and how to resolve this ? Thanks !

btw. if set up this tenant test account on an iphone i also get the info that the server identity could not be verified.

Florian
