Hello, I'm stuck between two differents advice about HA and CAS. The first one says that I need a load balancer and the other one says that exchange 2013 do that well by itself.
I'm planning to setup two virtuals exchange 2013 standard servers (with Hyper-v failover cluster), thoses servers will be multirole (CAS and Mailbox) and will have a DAG with two databases (on a SAN but it doesnt matter here).
I have read a lot of things about it (technet forum, msexchange.org exchangeserverpro.com):
- Windows NLB "not supported"
- round robin "Not a nice way, but it works and there are things to change when there is a failure"
- Load balancer "the best solution for HA"...
So the final question is: If I use (from the LAN and from Internet) webmail, ActiveSync, Outlook 2013, can I be full HA without a load balancer?
Regards,
L.H.
