We have an Exchange 2007 SP3 implementation in place supporting 30,000+ users.
We also have a small Exchange 2010 pilot supporting 10 users.
We have decided to upgrade to Exchange 2013 instead of pursuing further growth in our Exch 2010 environment.
No Exch 2013 updates have been applied to our AD yet.
Things I need to do to support interoperability between all systems
- Exchange 2007 SP3 RU 10
- Exchange 2010 SP3 ( schema and update )
- Exchange 2013 SP1 ( schema and install )
Getting a window for schema updates is very difficult, so it is best if I can roll all the schema updates out one night versus doing them on separate nights.
Can I install the Exchange 2010 SP3 schema and the Exchange 2013 SP1 schema into our AD, and then go back and do the software updates to Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010?
Desired INstall path....
- June - Update schema with Exch 2010 SP3 and Exch 2013 SP1 ( same night )
- July - Update Exchange 2007 with RU 10
- July - Update Exchange 2010 with SP3
- August - begine the Exchange 2013 SP1 install
Or do I need to step thru the progression
- June - Exchange 2007 RU 10 install
- July - Schema update with Exchange 2010 SP3
- July - Update Exchange 2010 with SP3
- August - Schema update with Exchange 2013 SP1
- August+ - install Exchagne 2013 SP1
Thanks!!!
Tom
