Question. I had a user ask why an incoming email wasn't received and in my research I found out that the INBOUND email used the organization SEND size limit for some reason. I have RECEIVE set at 21MB and SEND set at 15MB. This particular message was received from the outside by the Exchange 2010 SP3 server that is hosting the recipient's mailbox. The message was 19MB and Exchange said "RESOLVER.RST SendSizeLimit.Org; message too large for this organization". I guess I'm confused because this seems an awful lot like a message that's being received, not sent.
If it had to be transferred to another Exchange server I can see how the organization send size limit would come into play, but this message wasn't transferred.
Thoughts?
