Routing mail between to different environments

So I have two labs a testing Lab and a demo lab. Actually I have 6 labs but I am working on paring down to just two. Anyway, I have a cable modem with some static IP's. I pay about $30 extra per IP and would like to cut my cost some. I am planning phase two of my lab restructuring and I have hit a snag. I want to get down to one Static IP but I will have two exchange environments. I was hoping the be able to use a single edge transport to router to the environments via domain. Example Domain1.com would go to me demo network and Domain1.net would go to my test network. Unfortunately from what I have read the edge transport can only talk to one Active Directory environment at a time.  So I was hoping someone here would have an idea of a smart host I could put in the DMZ and would route by domain to the correct edge transport which would then route to the correct exchange environment. In the end I want it to look something like this External Router sends all 25 and 465 to a smart host which then looks at the domain and it if it domain1.com it sends it to domain1.com edge transport, if it is domain1.net it sends it to domain1.net transport, each transport from there would send mail to internal router for that domain.

thanks in advance
