I have 2 databases on an Exchange 2013 server. Both have Context Index Filters in a "failed" state. One of these databases is in a DAG with one other server and the database on that other server has a Healthy Context Index. The other database is not in a DAG so there is only this one copy.
I had a similar problem in the past and had to add the ContentSubmitter group and give full permissions to the Administrators group and Network Services groups. Then I had stopped the Host Search service and Search services, deleted the Index folder with
the GUID and start the services backup. This resolved the issue at the time. Now the issue is back
On the one with the DAG I have tried updating it with the -CatalogOnly switch and after it runs the state does not change.
Since I already have the ContentSubmitter group I also tried stopping the 2 search services again, deleting the index folders for each database and starting the service backup. A new folder is created but the state on both databases remains "failed".
Any other ideas on what I can do to get the Context Index State for these 2 databases back to a healthy state? I want to get the database that is not part of the Dag added to it but I can't do that until this is fixed.
