Resource Mailbox Exchange 2010

Apologies if this is duplicated but I wasn't able to find the answer in other threads.

I have Exchange 2010 (latest patches applied) and had two temporary board rooms while office construction was underway. We are on to our next phase of construction and I have been asked to hide these rooms. I hid them from the GAL and disabled the Resource Booking Attendant based on advice from another thread.

After this I was unable to find the rooms in the GAL; good. The problem is that the calendars remained in Outlook for anyone who had opened them there and I have people creating bookings for rooms that are not accessible.

Just to confuse matters more, the booking window is set for 180 days; my manager created a recurring meeting to block them off until the end of the year (267 days away). It's my understanding that the first 180 instances should have been accepted but anything beyond that should have failed. Is this a setting that is not enforced without the Resource Booking Attendant?

How can remove the calendar from everyone's Outlook? How can I have it decline all meetings regardless of how they are booked?

Thanks,

Cam
