We have Exchange 2013 in Hybrid with Office 365.
How to get rid of the message in the Exchange Server Queue?
Mounting the database fixed it.
Thanks!!!We have Exchange 2013 in Hybrid with Office 365.
How to get rid of the message in the Exchange Server Queue?
Mounting the database fixed it.
Thanks!!!I was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose why 4 of our 5 PF's are not updating (no new emails showing) since the update was performed?
Everything seems correct when I check the properties within EAC for each PF, to note they match the working PF.
Thanks in advance!
Hi, looking at the deployment/authentication options for a new Exchange 2013 SP1 CU8 deployment. We have ADFS3 deployed on our edge, and this is working very well. We want to know if it is possible to mix ADFS AND Forms Authentication on OWA and ECP please? We would like internal users to be presented with the 'default' Forms Login page, but external access via the ADFS Proxy will be Multifactor, and will then delegate the credentials to the back-end Exchange servers. The 'config' articles on Technet do not state if it is possible to have both. We want to keep the internal/external namespace the same too.
Thanks for any help.

Hi all,
I have been battling an issue following the migration of mailboxes from Exchange Server 2010 to Exchange Server 2013.
When I created test accounts for migration on 2010 they connect to the 2013 server fine after migration using Outlook 2013.
I am running Exchange 2013 Enterprise CU6.
I then chose several users for a secondary migration test for live accounts. All of these users are running Outlook 2013 with the Latest updates.
Following the migration the users are asked to restart as normal.
Once they restart their clients they are prompted again to restart, "The Microsoft Administrator has made a change that requires you to quit and restart outlook".
Outlook continues to load and show as "connected". However, the users cannot send or receive.
They are presented with error: "Task "emailaccount@domain.com" - Sending reported error (0x80040115): We can't complete this because we can't contact the server right now.
Please try again."
If I do a "repair" of the mail account, everything passes successfully, however, they still cannot send or receive. If I then remove the mail profile and attempt to add it again, I receive the error: "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected complete this action."
If I select okay, I am presented with the correct Microsoft Exchange server and Mailbox details of the user, (GUID of the mailbox@domain and =SMTP:emailaccount@domain.com). I can check name, and it fails with “The name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.”
If I log onto a different machine on the same network as the same user who has been migrated, the mailbox will load successfully without issue. The autodiscover .xml is returning all of the correct addresses.
There is no ACL on the network.
Has anyone had any similar issue with Exchange 2010 to 2013 migration?
The select users I have migrated are now using OWA as a workaround.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi all,

Gentlemen,
I have a small query about exchange 2010.
In my domain having 2000 users, all are connecting to head office exchange server which is located in different country. In my case users doesn't have dedicated machines, so they used to swap their seats on daily basis and re configuring emails which creates huge bandwidth issue. To avoid this situation do we have any alternate option (local exchange server which is not possible right now-hence please avoid this) where we can enable so the all clients can receive emails from location server.
I tried few pop/imap client which is not giving me desired results , i mean categories cannot work, flags cannot work.
Do we have any option using which i can download emails for defined email ids to local server and can distribute emails to the clients.
I just spent the morning trying to get our Exchange server back to a working state.
I attempted to do a CU8 install (I'm currently on CU3). I followed the instructions by prepping the Schema and the AD. Both completed successfully. No replication issues.
I ran setup.exe as an Administrator on our Exchange server. It stopped at 90% of checking prerequisites. It then threw up the error (please see attached screenshots), and died.
It's now working again, but I need to get this CU installed. ANyone have any insights at to what caused this?
Hi all,
just finished installing exchange 2013 and all went well. Internally, everything works perfectly. However, I then moved my testing externally. Browsing to https://mydomain/owa times out - as does https://mydomain/ecp Also, I cannot telnet to my mail server either: telnet mydomain 25 times out. I can though telnet mydomain 143 and telnet mydomain 110 no problem.
I have setup the receive connector as per the instructions (in fact, it was already setup) the frontend default allows anonymous access (as it should). Windows firewall is off. Router forwarding ports fine.
I can telnet 25 locally and as I said, everything works internally. Clearly, there is another step that has to be taken to allow external access to the port 25 and also for owa and ecp. I have double checked the SERVERS - VIRTUAL DIRECTORIES area and all the external url are correct. Can someone help please?
Hi,
I am looking to do DirSync of passwords between local and office365 domain. I have migrated all exchange services to office365 a couple of years ago, but still have old exchange 2003 server.
I plan to completely decommission and remove the exchange organization.
Question is once that is done, is there any concern about using DirSync? I thought that all attributes will sync during this process, so not sure if I could possibly be removing attributes that are needed as the exchange 2003 organization is removed, which in turn can maybe cause sync issues with my current office365 production environment.
I do not run any type of hybrid setup, and not looking to do Single-Sign-On, I am only attempting to sync passwords with specific accounts.
Can I safely uninstall and remove my exchange 2003 organization (a single 2003 exchange server)?
Thank you
We are getting the following error after CU6 implementation:
Seems like a latency issue... But, all tests are succesful, we are not experience any harm/issue. So, can we consider it as "by design" or should we take action?
Mailbox Transport Submission - the verification that the probe messages were successfully submitted within 5 minutes to HUB has failed.
This could indicate that the mailbox submissions are taking too long or not progressing at all.

Hi all,
We're moving away from Exchange and I had two quick questions about uninstalling Exchange 2010.
1. Each Active Directory user has an Email attribute (which shows what the users' email address is). That attribute won't go away when we uninstall Exchange will it?
2. Exchange was used to create a lot of distribution lists, which are universal distribution groups in our domain. Those won't get deleted when we uninstall will they?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Hello all
Running Exchange 2013 sp1 RU8 and Exchange 2010 SP3. I know that Exchange 2013 does not client access array or the RpcClientAccessServer attribute. However when i start introducing Exchange 2013 CAS\MBX servers do i need to change or modify the 2010 client access array ? right now the client access array FQDN for the 2010 side points to "Outlook.mydomain.com" On the 2013 side the value for outlookanywhere is "mail.mydomain.com", and on the 2010 side the value for outlookanywhere is "mail.mydomain.com" Mail.mydomain.com" points to the 2013 CAS servers. When a client connects I'm assuming its autodiscover that hands off to the client the FQDN name for the client access array?
Also it appears the admin before me created a value for RpcClientAccessServer attribute on the 2013 databases, because when i run the command "get-mailboxdatabase |select name,RpcClientAccessServer" I see "outlook.mydomain.com" stamped on all the 2013 databases. Can i remove this value from all the 2013 databases? if so how?

Hello,
My company has fully migrated to Office365 (NOT Hybrid environment) from a local environment consisting of a single domain with a single exchange 2003 server.
Now I will be upgrading the domain to 2012, but I plan on removing the 2003 exchange organization first, before I upgrade domain to 2012.
Would this be the best approach? Will this remove any needed the exchange attributes?
Thank you
Hi Guys,
For 1 year after migration from exchange 2007 to exchange 2013, there is no problem with it.
In past few days, suddenly our outlook client disconnect from server.
I just restart the exchange server but it took a long time(1 hour) for connecting in client outlook.
same with the day, we have a problem with paging file error message in exchange server.
is it related ?
Thanks,
