Event ID 106 is generated on Exchange 2013 ,already updated  Perfcounters.ps1 according to this article.still  getting same error.

No connection to Exchange server 2013 - Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access

hi,

 I am trying to find how many users are connected to my servers. I have 3 servers which hold all roles except edge.

 When I do this entry,

 Get-Counter "\MSExchange RpcClientAccess\User Count" -ComputerName exch01, exch02, exch03 | ft

 I get  this error for one of the servers

 Get-Counter : Unable to connect to the specified computer or the computer is offline.
I have no idea what is causing this. I tried to change the service user for "Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access" from system to network, stopped the Exchange health manager and restarted the server. Any good Ideas ?

Shared calendar not showing who edits appointments - Exchange 2013 cu9

Hello all,

We've got a calendar shared out from a "shared mailbox" that isn't properly showing who created or edited appointments. When viewing the appointments in list view, the Changed By field is simply the name of the shared mailbox. When each appointment is opened, it also says "last updated" by the name of the mailbox. The only exception to this is for the user who actually did modify the appointment - it will show their own name when they're viewing the appointment they edited.

I enabled auditing on the mailbox, and when I search the audit log in EMS, it correctly shows who last modified the calendar. I've created a new mailbox and calendar for testing, and the problem persists. I've also tried disabling caching of shared mailboxes. Anyone have any insight on this problem? I haven't found much of any use in my research.

As the topic states, we're running Exchange 2013 cu9, and users are all on Outlook 2013.

Moving mailbox from exchange 2013 back to exchange 2007 ..

Hi Guys,

I recently configured configured co-existence between exchange 2007 and exchange 2013. I moved a pilot user from exchange 2007 to exchange 2013 and now the user has issues receiving mails.

I am trying to move the user back to 2007 pending the resolution of the issue. The move status says completed but the mailbox remains in the exchange 2013 environment.

I need to return the user to an exchange 2007 mailbox database ..any ideas on what I am missing.

Exchange 2013 Authentication Configuration for Firewall Mail Notification

Dear Team,

We are using on premises exchange 2013.

When we try to configure email notification for our firewall getting error message like that "Authentication Method mismatch. Please confirm the authentication Method support for LOGIN or LOGIN PLAIN on the mail server.".

So we checked with firewall vendor they informed us that "firewall Support only PLAIN Method for login in the Mail NOtification Client"

So we need to Enable PLAIN Method Authentication on Exchange 2013, for this which configuration needs to be done on Exchange Side.

examples for dLMemSubmitPerms

I need to add specific addresses to the dLMemSubmitPerms attribute. The problem is that the DL is part of AD onprem and Exchange 2013 is in the cloud. I cannot edit the properties from the Exchange Admin web portal, and when i try to edit it with ADUC or ADSIedit it says "There is no editor registered to handle this attribute type."

I downloaded ADModify but it stills errors, so i am thinking that my syntax is wrong for this attribute. Does anyone have an example of how i should format the data for dLMemSubmitPerms? Or how i can go about putting 3 or 4 allowed emails into the attribute?

New Exchange server gives certificate error

Hi,

 I am installing a new server to a DAG. I can get Outlook to connect to the new server but I get certificate error.

 I am using wild Card certificate and the error I get is that a FQDN of the new server does not match with the wild Card cert.

 I know I have incorrectly assign certificate for the new server but I am not sure which service is complaning.

 I get the cert error after the Outlook has started and I am not doing anything in Outlook.

 I can ignore or continue but I guess users will not be happy.

Dear All,

We have exchange server 2013 cu9 with windows server 2012r2 .. Exchange server it's working fine from  out look and OWA . When i try to configure through iPAD i can't . iPAD  Configuration server verification all option tick  perfectly alright But i can't sent mail and receive mail also there is no address book ..But same iPAD i can access trough OWA there is no problem at all .

But only problem Exchange configuration through iPAD settings ...

Hi, I need to recover an outlook OST file from some work I did last year. I no longer have that PC but I did make a copy of the outlook OST file. Anyone got some tips on this? I know it can be done, I have even done it a long time ago but since forgotten.

Any tips / tools?

Problem Exchange Server 2013 with IIS (Default Web Site)

My server is the server 2008 R2 and I had installed iis
The page (Default web site) are working properly (http://www.mysite.gr)

I installed the Exchange Server 2013 normally without problem

The Management of exchange (https://www.mysite.gr/ecp) and the page Outlook web App (https://www.mysite.gr/owa) works normally

But my page (Default web site) (http://www.mysite.gr) stops working and displays the message:

on client computer:
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

on server
HTTP Error 403.7 "- Forbidden SSL Site The page you are attempting to access requires your browser to have a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) client certificate that the Web server recognizes


How can I fix to work and 2 together  (http and https) ?

System Mailboxes - Exchange 2010

Hi,

I have a question about system mailboxes.

we have 4 Mailboxes servers in DAG. I can only see 1 System Mailbox, 1 Discovery and 1 FederateEmail that are in 1 mailbox server and DB.

I see some post saying that you should have 1 System Mailbox per Mailbox server in the DAG. Is this true ? And if so how can I create additional System Mailbox per Mailbox Server ?

Accessing a mailbox cross forest

Source - Exchange 2010 SP3

Target - Exchange 2013 SP1 

We are in the midst of a forklift AD migration. In doing so we are upgrading/migrating our existing Exchange 2010 environment to Exchange 2013. So far so good. I have migrated a few pilot users without issue. Free/busy is good. Mailflow is good. 

My question revolves around shared mailboxes. What is the best method for a user who resides on Exchange 2013 (source) to access a shared mailbox on Exchange 2010 (target).

These users were given full mailbox permission originally before migration. We do have SID history turned on. They would open the mailbox from within outlook using their own profile. I can get them to open the shared mailbox if they close outlook and open a profile with the shared mailbox, but I would rather they continue to work the way they are used to. 

Thoughts?

Hello Moderators / Board Admins

I've installed the Exchange 2016 preview in a test environment and imagine that others, sooner or later, will be doing the same.

Where should we post questions about Exchange 2016?

Will there be a new section for 2016?

My first question has to do with the EAC not displaying. Apparently (?) the same problem many had with the Exchange 2013 EAC when it was first released.

Installation was supposedly successful and EMS (PowerShell) does work.

Test-ServiceHealth passes: all necessary Exchange services running in background.

pdvfs drive network in Network Providers

Hi,

On the two EX2013 mailbox servers I have configured into a DAG, the Network Providers section under the Advanced Network Settings\Provider Order shows a "pdvfs drive network" at the top of the list, before things like Microsoft Windows Network.  Does anyone know what this is and where it should be in the provider order?

i need to restart my exch2013 MB servers that are setup as a DAG. need to install 3d party software, not exchange patch or anything.

If i just power off the VM (windows) technically my users should move to the cluster. or should I put it into maintenance mode first?

OWA not working! BRAND NEW INSTALL.

I have a brand new setup with Server 2012R2 Std and Exchange 2013 CU9.  The Exchange is on one server (MBX and CA).  I used the CU9 download to install, then applied my code.  Brand new Exchange environment in a brand new AD environment... NO UPGRADES/MIGRATIONS!  

After i got everything setup, within ECP, I switched mail to start flowing and to check flow i then logged in as a user, upon logging in i get a "Something went Wrong" page with no real information.  The only place i could find ANYTHING to elude to a problem is in Event Viewer.  Below is a few of the errors i find:

Not able to open mailbox

Exchange 2013\Outlook 2010, I have a user that I disabled and re-enabled their mailbox. I am not able to open their mailbox now. I cannot open it with Outlook or OWA. I can logon to a desktop with the users account, but Outlook will not open. How could I check this mailbox to then be able to open it.

Attendant Can Accept Meeting Invitation when room mailbox has been decline from moderator

Scenario : user A(organizer) send meeting invitation to userB(attendant) and UserC(attendant) at Executive Meeting Room.

UserD(moderator) as moderator Executive Meeting Room decline meeting request at his room.

UserB and UserC still can accept meeting invitation whereas UserD has been decline meeting request.

My question why userB and UserC can accept meeting when  userD(moderator) decline meeting on his room ?

How booking delegate resources mailbox works ?
