Hi Everyone-
I'm in the final stages (hopefully) of migration to 2013 from 2007. I have all mailboxes moved off of 2007 and am ready to uninstall my public folders (still exist on 2007, not migrating). I decided prior to doing this I would shutdown my 2007 server for a period of time to see what goes wrong - Relay issues, did I miss something, etc etc... After I turned off the 2007 server I started getting reports that Outlook would spin, waiting for response. After some looking into it, when looking through older emails or searching Outlook, it would pretty much stop responding - I would look at the connection status and during this time it was trying to connect to my 2007 server - Once it timed out, Outlook would start working again.
I thought this may be due to Outlook still trying to connect to public folders - so I placed this reg key in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Setup\HasPublicFolders
It still occurred with this key.
All workstations are domain connected and running Outlook 2010.
Thanks,
