I apologize if this is in the wrong forum Please suggest correct place if so.
Exchange 2010 on prem.
One company, two domains. Company splits and new company retains it's name and domain.
Company A maintains its name and domain. Company B is new company, totally disasoiated and disconnected from Company B.
Company B is on new email and has no issues at all.
Original Company A has one email issue only. Cannot email Company B from Outlook/Exchange. No other issues.
I suspect Company A has some DNS and Active Directory clean-up to do to fix this but do not know where to start. Can anyone walk me through or suggest an article?
When Company A tries to email the new Company B, they get the folloing error:

Kolcun, Stephanie The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.
