The certificate issued by the local CA (our Forest Root DC), has expired. This certificate has assigned services of IMAP, POP and SMTP. Server is MS Exchange 2013 on Server 2012 R2 and the FRDC is Server 2016.
I thought/hoped that it would be a fairly simple process of creating the .req file in exchange and then processing it on the CA. But this does not work, get an error saying "The request contains no certificate template".
Is there a fairly simple way of fixing this please? Either through the console or via Powershell. Have read and tried a few articles but none have as yet worked.
