We just discovered an issue with users being unable to forward external meeting invitations. We're on Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2013. When a user attempts to forward a meeting invite from an external domain, they receive a bounce as follows:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject:
Sent: 7/18/2013 9:12 AM
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
Recipient on 7/18/2013 9:12 AM
This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again later, or contact your network administrator. Error is [0x80070005-00000000-00000000].
It looks like Exchange is forcing these forwarded invites to be 'send-on-behalf' type emails rather than just a standard forward, and since the users (obviously) don't have send-on-behalf rights for some external domain, they get a bounce.
I don't see any forum posts for this on Exchange 2013, but I see this in the Office365 forum which looks pretty much identical:

Did they introduce this same flaw in CU2 for Exchange 2013 as well? Any work-arounds or fixes?
Thanks!
