Wild Card SSL Certificate

Hi,

there are many post suggesting we can use a wildcard SSL certificate instead of a SAN certificate, this sounds very interesting, but I don't see how people are doing it.

let say the company's domain is domain.com
It is suggested to use a separate domain name for active directory so something like "ad.domain.com"

So with this example, I would need these names in my ssl certificate

autodiscover.domain.com
owa.domain.com (or anything for frontend access)
server.ad.domain.com (this would be the exchange server

First two could go into a wildcard ssl *.domain.com, but the third won't work...

Unless you use domain.com for your ad, I don't see how it is possible to use a wildcard certificate for exchange. Could someone clarify how you set it up please

Thanks
