I have OAB issues. I searched a lot on the forum and some professionals suggest using this tool. Does it still work for Exchange 2013?

Exchange was unable to communicate with the autodiscover endpoint for your Office 365 tenant. This is typically an outbound http access configuration issue. If you are using a proxy server for outbound communication, verify that Exchange is configured to use it via the “Get-ExchangeServer –InternetWebProxy” cmdlet. Use the “Set-ExchangeServer –InternetWebProxy <name of your proxy server>” cmdlet to configure if needed.
Replication Service was unable to process jobs in a mailbox database
Greetings all and thanks in advance,
Ex2013 cu7
Had to create some recovery databases, and when completed went through the process to remove them.
Now getting event log errors about missing database.
- Event 1006, MSExchange Mailbox Replication
- The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication Service was unable to process jobs in a mailbox database. Database: Missing database (4b93dcec-c65f-4552-b744-f47323560063)
- Error: Database '4b93dcec-c65f-4552-b744-f47323560063' doesn't exist.
I found the entry in the registry for the DB and purged several instances. Restarted the replication services, but the error persists.
Thanks,

Renew Certificate
Hi,
I need to renew the SSL certificates on my 3 CAS servers. I renewed the the first one and tried to export the certificate from first one and import to other two CAS server. I could neither import nor delete the old certificate. For deleting the certificate it says:
" A special Rpc error occurs on server NPL-CAS2: The internal transport certificate cannot be removed because that would cause the Microsoft Exchange Transport service to stop. To replace the internal transport certificate, create a new certificate. The new certificate will automatically become the internal transport certificate. You can then remove the existing certificate"
and for importing the certificate it says:
"A special Rpc error occurs on server NPL-CAS2: Cannot import certificate. A certificate with the thumbprint CA3FTC4EW42DC4AA844A132D1E268360944716E0 already exists."
How can I solve the problem ?
Exchange Server 2013 Junk Mail
Dear All

two problems with logins that may be (and i think are) related
Hi All,
I have researched this odd problem for the last month or so and tried so many things I would not be able to list them here.
The problems in brief are:
- Outlook 2013 (and 2010 I think) occasionally asks for password to extra accounts (multiple businesses - some people have accounts for multiple domains) without accepting any credentials (despite them being correct). restarting outlook solves this problem.
- to try to solve the above problems I setup "Add-MailboxPermission -Identity jd -User jimd -AccessRights FullAccess -Automapping $false" which in theory then requires no extra authentication for adding the extra account. the problem is that we now cannot send emails from these extra accounts (which are added into outlook as separate accounts)
Now, the problem with #1 possibly appeared shorlty after I finally got the OAB working (mostly - I think ... always via activesync). As I said in the first line, I have tried an awful lot of things. a few things that I have found that do not work are:
- nltest /sc_query:domain.local returns "I_NetLogonControl failed: Status = 1355 0x54b ERROR_NO_SUCH_DOMAIN" from the exchange server, but authentication appears to be OK, and I am receiving successfully machine authentication from this server, so I am hesitant to try to reset this machine account, and am unsure what this will do to the

Exchange 2013 cu4
I have recurring errors in my queue. the message recipient list are as follows:
bugs@acme.com, daffy@acme.com, elmer@fudge.com
my internal users are the @acme.com recipients. Elmer is the email address of a supplier.
the sender of the message uses mps@acme.com (a non-existing email address; not even a mailbox) that we use just to have a From: address.
i'm not sure how to start troubleshooting this so what I did is to make sure if the ip address of the sending server is listed in my receive connector that are allowed to relay. in my thinking, I should not because i'm authenticating the application before sending using a domain user account.
I have added the ip address of the sending server in my receive connector and will see if the local loop message disappears.
below are the error messages:
FromAddress : mps@acme.com
LastError : A local loop was detected.
Recipients : {mps@acme.com;2;0;[{LRT=};{LED=};{FQDN=};{IP=}];0;;0}

exchange 2013 DAG - move to HA question
we currently have two exchange 2013 servers at our main site, setup as DAG group with onsite 2008 server as the witness server, which gives us recoverability if something goes wrong with the mailstore, but not if the primary exchange server itself goes down.
now I am being asked to add a 3rd exchange server at our remote site for failover.
but from reading the following technet article on DAG and HA, it would seem you need two exchange servers at each site?
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638129(v=exchg.150).aspx
what started us down the road to HA is when I rebooted our two exchange servers, one at a time, to apply windows updates, and when the primary server was rebooting email was offline for short time (5 minutes while it rebooted). I think management was under the mistaken impression that DAG=HA, which is not true.
so for true HA, I would need two exchange servers at remote site, plus Windows AD\DNS server at remote site, correct?

Exchange 2010 & Windows RPC MinimumConnectionTimeout
I see lots of post of setting this to 120 seconds but I do not find any official Microsoft Exchange 2010 document. Anyone know of one?

I get random event 1040 from different users and firewall timeout has already been set.
The average of the most recent heartbeat intervals [60] for request [Sync] used by clients is less than or equal to [540]. Make sure that your firewall configuration is set to work correctly with Exchange ActiveSync and direct push technology. Specifically, make sure that your firewall is configured so that requests to Exchange ActiveSync do not expire before they have the opportunity to be processed. Exchange 2010 Certificate
We generated public cert and attached to IMAP, POP, IIS, SMTP. There is still a self-signed Exchange cert attached to SMTP.
Is the self-signed cert still needed by Exchange? It is using sha1 and I'm suspecting the large amount of random event 36888, 36874 with TLS 1.2 reject and falat alert was genereated: 40 is caused by this self-signed cert.
where to install ssl certificate?
Exchange 2013 cu4
I received and have installed a new ssl certificate on my CAS01 server. I have a CAS02 server.
do I need to install the same ssl certificatein the CAS02 server or it's enough to install it in CAS01 server?
Database Content Index State: FailedAndSuspended
I am in the process of migrating mailboxes from EX2010 to Ex2013 (both Primary and Archive) and on the target database where the archive mailboxes are going the Content Index State is FailedAndSuspended. This is causing the whole process to become a lot slower and is some cases fail altogether.
In the event logs for the server where the database is mounted I have the following events:
The indexing of mailbox database Archive Database 2013 encountered an unexpected exception. Error details: Microsoft.Exchange.Search.Core.Abstraction.OperationFailedException: The component operation has failed. ---> Microsoft.Exchange.Search.Core.Abstraction.CatalogReseedException:

and when I download a report for the migration that is currently in progress I am seeing the following:
RC-EX2013-01] Transient error ResourceUnhealthyException has occurred. The system will retry (10/60).

When it gets to 60 transient errors the whole process stops.
I've already looked at the following KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2807668 and used method 1 but this has not resolved the issue.
We are using Exchange 2013 CU1 and the server is not part of a DAG. Every other forum post I read about this seems to be related to servers which are in a DAG.
Does anybody have any ideas why this isn't working?
Exchange Server 2010 / 2013 coexistance SAN internal names certificate
Hello,
We are currently migrating mailboxes from Exchange 2010 to an Exchange 2013 environment.
We are using one SAN certificate for both Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 CAS with internal/external DNS names.
Our SAN certificate is about to expire. It's not possible anymore to place internal DNS names in our SAN certificate.
What are my options for the Exchange Server 2010 environment? So that the reverse proxy from Exchange 2013 to Exchange 2010 for Outlook Anywhere continues to work.
Can I expect other problems with the coexistence environment after the certificate expires?
DNS Names SAN:
DNS Name=webmail.******.com
DNS Name=exvip.domain1.local
DNS Name=EX2010-CAS01.domain1.local
DNS Name=EX2010-CAS02.domain1.local
Specifications:
Exchange Server 2013 (CAS, MBX, HUB - x2 - EX2013-MR01.domain1.local & EX2013-MR02.domain1.local)
Virtual directory's: webmail.******.com (internal/external - split DNS)
Exchange Server 2010 (CAS, HUB - x2 - EX2010-CAS01.domain1.local & EX2010-CAS02.domain1.local)
Exchange Server 2010 (MBX - x2)

Exchange 2013 + vmware edb Log Co-Location ?
hi,
for a branch office, we are considering Exchange 2013 based on 2 VM +1 DAG + Storage on unique stockage an EMC SAN.
we ll have 10 databases = 10 mounting points = 10 vmdk (200 go) but all in the same LUN
the questions is : does it make sense to separate database and log ?
the best practise say exchange 2013 storage technet :
HA best practise => isolation of logs and database is not required.
HA = 4 copies or at least 2 ?
regards,
Resource Mailbox Error
I am attempting to edit a Room Resource Mailbox, and I'm getting an error that I can't seem to figure out how to correct. The error states "The value " is already present in the collection." I am unable to get passed this error in order to edit the settings of this mailbox. We're ultimately attempting to delete a recurring calendar item in order to recreate it with a different end date, but no one currently has rights to this mailbox to do it.
Content index state: crawling
I have a DAG and all the database are healthy with only one that is stuck in crawling, followed many tips but in vain.
-Stopped the exchange search and search host controller services, dismounted the DB, deleted the GUI directory, restarted the services, mounted the DB but still stays in crawling with only 16mb in the newly created GUI directory.
-Run the script Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy "db\server" -CatalogOnly and got errors that the search and search host controller services might not be running and yet the service are running and the other DB's did not give this error when I ran the same command.
WARNING: Seeding of content index catalog for database 'DB' failed. Please verify that the Microsoft Search (Exchange)
and the Host Controller service for Exchange services are running and try the operation again. Error: The seeding
operation failed. Error: An error occurred while performing the seed operation. Error: An error occurred while updating
the search catalog files from server 'mbx1.company.local' to 'mbx1.company.local'. Error: A transient exception

What else can I do ?
Turn off SSL Offloading
Hi all
My Exchange 2013 server "SSL Offloading for Outlook Anywhere" has been enabled by default.
But we don't use "SSL Offloading" for our services/virtual directories, there is no device/load balancer stand between clients and Exchange server. Exchange server hold certificate and does encryption/decryption.
In my Exchange 2013 Server Manager --> Roles --> IIS Manager --> Default Web site , I view "SSL Settings" of every virtual directories :
+ aspnet_client, Autodiscover, ecp, EWS, mapi, Microsoft-Server-Active-Sync, OAB, owa "Required SSL" checked
+ rpc : "Required SSL" unchecked
Meanwhile RPC SSL Settings should be required as Exchange 2013 : Default virtual directories settings . When I try to enable Required SSL for RPC virtual directory and restart IIS, MS Outlook cannot connect
to Exchange.
Should I uncheck "Allow SSL Offloading" for Outlook Anywhere then enable Required SSL for RPC virtual directory ? Please give me some advice.
Thank you.
Exchange 2013 Public Folder mailbox move to another database
Hi
Our Messaging system is on Exchange 2013 and we have three Public Folder mailboxes in a Database. As we all know, unlike earlier versions of Exchange, the Public folders are like typical mailboxes in Exchange 2013, not a separate Database. The DB volume, which is hosting the PF mailboxes is running out of disk space, hence I would like to move those PF mailboxes to another Database where I have adequate disk space. Will this create any impact to end users in terms of access, permissions, data loss and it? Do I need to do any precautionary actions prior to move?
Since I am new to Exchange 2013 and this is the first time we are moving Public folder mailboxes to another Database, so wanted to make sure flawless movement of Public folder mailboxes.
