Hello. Early, When users sent attachments from Windows Explorer and used the Send to > Mail Recipient command, the message body was filled in with "Your message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments:"
Now, after update, users have unrecogcnizes simbols "Qnnayemhe cnrnbn j nrop`bje qn qkeds~yhl bknfemm{l t`iknl hkh qq{kjni:"

I have GFI MailEssentials and Exclaimer installed on my Exchange Server 2013.

Exchange 2010 SP 3 from Rollup 2 to Rollup 15
I will be upgrading my Exchange environment from SP3 Rollup 2 to Rollup 15. Is there a special process to take in order to have successfully upgrade? I am guessing its ok to go straight from Rollup2 to Rollup 15

451 4.7.0 temporary server error. please try again later. prx4
Hello,
in my environment i can send/receive mail.
When doing some checks i will end up with this error :
451 4.7.0 temporary server error. please try again later. prx4
I have tried the following without results :
Exchange 2013 SMTP error "451 4.7.0 Temporary server error. Please try again later. PRX3"
This error message seems to be caused by DNS issues in the Exchange 2013 set up. Exchange then rejects all emails like this. It is not quite clear what Microsoft means with this error code and the various PRX-numbers at the end - we've also seen PRX1, PRX3, PRX7. There is no list and no documentation on them available.
From customer feedback we found these ways to solve the problem:
- Disable all unused network cards.
- Check all DNS server entries in the configuration of your network cards (checkall network adapters) and make sure not to reference server 127.0.0.1 as DNS server but to use the real IP address instead.
- If you have more than one fixed IP address in the server add an entry for each IP address in the hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) formatted like "192.168.1.1 SERVERNAME".
- Important: Do load the latest Exchange 2013 updates, especially CU1 if you haven't done that already.
- Please delete the receive connectors in Exchange and create one new receive connector. Use the "front end" instead of "hub transport" setting and vice versa.
What do do, to fix this issue?
Thx
Exchange 2013 mailbox folder permission is not inheriting to subfolders
I'm looking for powershell command or script to inherit mailbox folder level permission to inherit to all subfolders. I used to below command but it is not inheriting to subfolders and as well inheritancetype is not recognized in the powershell.

Let me know if you had this similar issue and possible solution for this issue.
Exchange 2013 - Routing
I have setup a new Exchange DAG with two node (server03 and server04), in production I have another DAG with two node (server01 and server02), if I move a mailbox from one DB in first DAG to a DB in the second DAG I'm not able to send mail to the mailbox. The mail remain in a queue called server02\Unreachable and the error is this: "There is currently no route to the mailbox"
Do you have any solution?
Thanks.

Exchange 2010 & 2016 co-existence owa access issue
I have added two Exchange2016 servers to existing exchange2010 farm. Exchange2010 has 2 cas & 2 mbx servers in a DAG. I have configured Virtual Directory internal/external url to be the same as existing url. Everything looks good except I can't log into from exchange2010 OWA to a mailbox located on exchange 2016 MBX. I got error :

If I logon directly using exch2016server.domain.com, it works. When I log on a exchange 2016 web interface to a mailbox located on exchange 2010, it also works. It seems that exchange2010 cas server isn't proxy to exchange 2016. I run command
Get-ExchangeServer |Get-OwaVirtualDirectory|fl servername,*auth*
and exchange2010 InternalAuthenticationMethods : {Basic, Fba, Ntlm, WindowsIntegrated}
exchange2016 InternalAuthenticationMethods : {Basic, Fba}
is this the reason the proxy

Exchange 2013 outlook autodiscover
Hi,
I tried searching on the net, not able to find much information.
As outlook 2016 requires autodiscover service, so i have to set it in exchange 2013.
I have set autodiscover URL.
1. i know i have to set a CNAME in my external DNS.
Do i put the entry "Host" as mail.abc.com? and what should it be pointed to? (the IP address of my exchange server?)
2. Do i also need to set on my internal DNS a Host(A) file named autodisocover as well?
Thank you

Hello there,
Does any one know what this error is about?
And how to fix this please share some light if you have come across this please.
There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/ER.Engine/MailsProcessingUnit that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
Thank you
Oversimplifying 2013 migration?
Morning, I have a Windows 2003 environment running Exchange 2003. I am planning on standing up a 2012 R2 environment running Exchange 2013. However I notice you can't go straight to 2013 from 2003, you have to do it incrementally from 2003, 2007, 2013.
However within this environment it only has at the most 10 users. My thought was why not just create a PST for every user and just move it over to the new 2012 environment with Exchange 2013. Am I oversimplifying the move or is it really that simple in such a small environment?
MailboxImportRequest help
I am wanting to import a PST into a mailbox. The PST contains various folders as well as Calendar items. What is happening is the process creates a folder called "Primary Mailbox" and puts all the items in that instead of merging the pst contents
into the target mailbox's existing folder structure. Is there a way to merge ?
my command is "New-MailboxImportRequest targetMBX -Filepath \\Server01\Import.pst"
Roadmap on Supporting the Disabling of TLS 1.0
Does anyone if there is a planned roadmap on when disabling TLS 1.0 will be supported on Exchange 2013? I have already read the doc below which is from July 2015. As for now it still appears that disabling TLS 1.0 still breaks Exchange when I tested as well as posts from others who have tried this year and broke Exchange. Thanks.

Exchange 2007 hybrid Exchange 2013
We have Exchange 2007 and want to go hybrid.
So we need an Exchange 2013 "hybrid" servers in co-existence with Exchange 2007.
Some questions i have;
- We need to switch CAS (autodiscover/ews/oa) to Exchange 2013. Do we need to configure Exchange 2007 with LEGACY url's and is a LEGACY url needed in an Exchange 2007/2013 hybrid Office 365 environment?
- If we keep users on Exhange 2007 can we move user mailboxes straight from Exchange 2007 to Office 365?
- Is it wiser/best-practise to first move to Exchange 2013 and fase out 2007 and then go hybrid?
Exchange Online Archive not bringing up all results
Hi,
We have recently moved some users over to Online Archives in our Exchange 2013 environment and found that people are complaining that they are not getting complete search results because they seem to be limited. Note this is not that the items are not "searchable",
just that not all of them appear.
For example, I put in outlook the query:
received:2015 from:(daniel)
I only get results from December and November that year.
I know the index is working because if I put in:
received:Feb 2015 from:(daniel)
It brings up all the results from daniel in Feburary 2015.
We want to increase the results somehow that Outlook brings back to include all items not just a subset.
Is this limitation something from the exchange side I need to tweak to show more results or something from outlook? Is this possible to change?
I have tried in both cached mode and online in Outlook and tried with Outlook Web Access but both show the same issue. That led me to believe that it was something Exchange side, but I couldnt see anything.
Could anyone please help?
Thanks,
Brendan

Licensing Help - Single Exch 2013 Server hosted on 2 Node Hyper-V Cluster
Hi,
We are currently undergoing a Microsoft SAM assessment and we have had our Exchange Licensing flagged as something that needs attention. However I'm either missing something or don't strictly agree with what is being suggested. See details below:
Deployment Overview:
1 x Exchange Server 2013 Standard - Standalone all roles i.e. (CAS, Hub Transport) this is running inside a single 2012 R2 VM. This VM sits inside a very simply 2 node Hyper-V Cluster.
The SAM assessment is claiming that we need two licenses of Exchange Server 2013 Standard as failover rights do not apply to Exchange Server and the license cannot be reassigned more often than every 90 days since its previous assignment etc.
I don't understand this however as we have no high availability or failover of the Exchange Application / Server level, High Availability and Fail-Over is only of the Server 2012 R2 VM that Exchange is installed upon. Surely at this point it is the VM's OS license that is potentially being reassigned in a failover scenario the Exchange license is still within its original OSE regardless of the physical host.
Can anyone offer any further guidance as I feel I'm either completely misinterpreting licensing regulations or Microsoft aren't understanding our deployment or the SAM consultant isn't correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
Moving Public Folders from Database to another Database
Data Drive for Virtualized Exchange 2013 should be fixed or Dynamic.
Hello All,
thank you for the support which i receive here always. I am in situation where i need to choose between fixed and dynamic VHDx for virtualization Exchange server 2013.
I have bought the veeam Backup software and veeam doesnt Support the Direct connect drive to The VM and it skips when it creates the Backup of Exchange server.
so I now need to assign virtual VHDx to the Exchange 2013 Server on the hyper v 2012 R2 host. Veeam support both fixed and dynamic VHDx but i am not sure which kind of Virtual disk will be better for the Database Drive.
should i go with Dynamic or fixed size Disk for Exchange 2013 Server ?
thanks
