I am learning about Exchange 2013 and had the following questions I was hoping someone could help with.
Scenario:
Two DAGs split over two sites. Each site is Active/Active. Each site has its own CAS array with 2 Exchange 2010 CAS servers sitting behind it.
1.When we introduce Exchange 2013, can we add Exchange 2013 CAS servers to the existing array or should these be kept seperate?
2. Can we add Exchange 2013 databases (i.e. those held on 2010 mailbox servers) to the existing DAG's, or must we build new ones?
3. We have applications such as Blackberry that use MAPI to connect to the existing 2010 CAS array. If a BlackBerry user on a BES that also holds Exchange 2010 mailbox users gets moved to a 2013 database. Do we need to move him to a BES servers that is specifically configured to use RPC/HTTPS? There is no way a 2013 CAS can be configured to accept MAPI for 'legacy' applications?
